•Gandon Monastery, one of the 3 Great Holy Monasteries in Lhasa along with Sera and Drepung Monastery, built by Je Tsongkhapa in 1409, is the 1st and primary monastery of the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism.
•Tashilumpo Monastery, a historic and culturally important monastery in Shigatse – second largest city in Tibet, China

Day 1
Hongkong / Chengdu

Fly to Chengdu.
On arrival, greet and transfer to check in at hotel ( 4 stars ),Lunch and dinner on guest own account and overnight.

Day 2
Chengdu / Lhasa ( Alt. 3680m )

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Lhasa.
On arrvial, greet and transfer to check in at hotel ( 3 stars ), the rest of day free to acclimatize... Lunch and dinner on guest own account, free and overnight at hotel.

Day 3
Lhasa

Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to the Drepung Monastery which was built in 1416 and is the largest monasteries of the Gelug Sect. It covers an area of 250,000 square meters. The monastery has trained a large group of talents for Tibetan Buddhism. The 15th Dalai Lama lived here before he moved to the Potala Palace. It houses plenty of historical and cultural relics and Buddhist classics. Sera Monastery – located at foot of the Wuze Hill in Sera to the north of Lhasa, the Sera Monastery is one of the three great monasteries in Lhasa and one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Buddhism in Tibet. It was built by one of disciples of Zonggaba in 1419. Norbulingka, served as the traditional summer residence for Dalai Lamas, was built in the 1740s and covers an area of 36 hectares, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch and dinner on guest own account. Back to hotel and overnight at Hotel.

Day 4
Lhasa

Breakfast at hotel, visit Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the palace of the Dalai Lama. It was originally built in the 7th century by King Songtsan Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai Lana in the 17th century. Its 13-story main building is 117 meters high and is composed of the Red and White Palaces, with the red one in themiddle. The main building consists of the Halls of stupas of Dalai Lamas from various historical stages and halls of Buddhist statues. Then visit the Jokhang Monastery another UNESCO World Heritage Site- located in the center of the ancient city of Lhasa, was built in 7th century by Songtsan Gambo, the Tang Princess WenCheng and Nepalese Princess Bhrikuti. Then stroll around the Barkhor - this area bursts with atmosphere and contradictions. On the one hand, this is one of theholiest areas of Tibet, awash with pilgrims, monks, nuns and temples. On the other, the streets around here are the hubs of Lhasa's commercial zone. Lunch and dinner on guest own account. Back to hotel, free and overnight at Hotel. 

Day 5
Lhasa – Yamdrok - Gyantse (Alt. 4040m) – Shigatse (Alt. 3800m) ( 6-7hrs drive)

Breakfast at hotel, check out. Morning drive towards the southern route along Lake Yamdrok an amazingly turquoise blue lake, sacred for all Tibetans. Cross two high passes, the Khamba La at 4794 metres and the Karo La at 5010 metres. Enjoy spectacular view by the lakeside and take some pictures. Lunch provided on route. Then continue drive to Gyantse – a small town visit to the Palkor Choden and its surrounding Monastery. Then continue to drive to Shigatse - which is the second largest town in Tibet. Check in at hotel ( 3 stars ), free and overnight.

Day 6
Shigatse - Lhasa (Alt. 4980m) 390kms (4 hrs drive)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit the Tashilumpo Monastery which is located at Myima Mountain at the west of Shigatse. One of the four leading monasteries in Guleg Sect ( Yellow ) of Panchen Lama, the other three are Gandan, Sera and Drepung Monasteries. Then drive back to Lhasa on the most convenient and asphalted road along Tsangpo river will take five hours. Visit the Dolma Lhakang Monastery on the way. Arrive in Lhasa late afternoon, check in at (3/4 Stars), lunch and dinner on guest own account, free and overnight.

Day 7
Gandan Monastery - Day trip

Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Ganden Monastery, takes about 2 hrs drive from Lhasa. Gandan Monastery is perches on the top of Mount Wanrigu, 60kms east of Lhasa, at an altitude of 3,800m. It is one of the “ Three Great” Gelug University Monastery and the largest in Tibet, the other 2 are the Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery, the monastery was founded in 1409 by Tsong Khapa, the originator of the Gelukpa, Yellow Hat. On arrival have around 2 hrs soft hiking to visit the Monastery and drive back to Lhasa by late afternoon. Lunch and dinner on guest own account. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8
Lhasa - Departure

Breakfast at hotel, check out.
Pick up at hotel and transfer to airport for your departure flight to Hongkong or back to your country.
