Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, encompasses 14 islands and more than 50 bridges on an extensive Baltic Sea archipelago. The cobblestone streets and ochre-colored buildings of Gamla Stan (the old town) are home to the 13th-century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Kungliga Slottet Royal Palace and the Nobel Museum, which focuses on the Nobel Prize. Ferries and sightseeing boats shuttle passengers between the islands.

Day 1
Arrive in Stockholm, Sweden

Departure from your home town, flight to land in Stockholm (STO), the capital city of Sweden.

Upon arrival, transfer to check in at hotel.

Day 2
Stockholm

Breakfast at hotel. This day have a city tour to discover the main sights of Stockholm, the biggest town of the Nordic Countries, a city built on water, integrating land and sea, old and new, into a cityscape of fabulous charm. These labyrinths of the island are the cultural, media, political, and economic center of Sweden. See Stockholm as it is, a town full of ancient and modern history as you walk through the Old Town area and the cosmopolitan neighborhood. Learn about Stockholm’s history, history of the Viking people, the old city of Stockholm, the Stockholm Syndrome, Carl Gustav XVI and Queen Sylvia, the assassination of Gustavus III, patron of the arts, at a masked ball in 1792 at the Royal Palace and Stockholm BloodBath of 1520. You will see Gamla Stan, Riddarholmen, City Hall, Opera and Parliament. Back to hotel after sightseeing.

Day 3
Stockholm Hike

Breakfast at hotel.  This day get the opportunity to feel far away from civilization, see beautiful landscapes, learn about fauna and flora and enjoy a lunch prepared on a wooden fire.  

Meet at the tube station Skärmarbrink and go from there by car to the forest start point where the tour will start. After 2 hours hiking throughout the nature will have a long lunch break where you’ll be able to relax, swim in a lake and dry up next to the fire where food and coffee are getting ready for you to enjoy.

After this energizing pause we’ll get back to business, put our shoes on and continue our hiking throughout the area. We’ll come back at the end of the afternoon after a full day of fresh air and stunning landscape.

Then transfer back to Stockholm.

Day 4
Stockholm - Kayaking

Breakfast at hotel.  Meet at 09.00 at the office south of Stockholm before driving together to Dalarö, a charming little village, from where we’ll begin paddling with our kayaks.

On the way, you’ll notice one of those magnificent little wooden red houses, discreetly placed among the pines which we’ll tell you more about during the tour.
Will explore different islands by kayak along the way. The kayak tour will be granted by a filling meal on one of the deserted islands. There, will take time to rest, with only companion of the swell of the Baltic Sea and the singing birds. By the end of the afternoon, we will paddle back to Dalarö; our starting point. Will go around other islands and get the opportunity to see other fantastic things from this part of the archipelago that is probably one of the nicest and wildest. It will also be magical to see a sea eagle circling around the islands, looking for the ideal prey. Maybe one of those numerous migratory birds like different types of goose or the famous great cormorant flying over the horizon to the direction up north. Back to hotel.

Day 5
Stockholm – Night Safari

Breakfast at hotel.

Day is free to stroll around city or relax in hotel.

In the evening when the forest is starting to get mystical, comes the time for go out there. Indeed the wildlife is very often coming out from dusk to dawn. That’s when you will bring in nature to observe the wild life. During the tour will have time to talk about the different animals one can encounter in Sweden while in nature, their behaviour, their habits, what they eat, how and where to spot them and much more. Will offer a break for a dinner before scouting the forest again. What to expect during this night safari:

  • Moose or elk is the very iconic animals of Sweden and have very well planning on meeting him.
  • The beaver: this shy and silent animals is rare to spot but can be encounter around water point.
  • The wolf: no worries they’ll see you but you’ll never see them.
  • The lynx: they are outnumber unfortunately and they live more towards the center of Sweden. They are probably the hardest animal to spot. Fantastic hunter.
  • The bear:  Will talk about it but they don’t live on Stockholm region, so no worries, no encounter possible.
  • Roe Deer are probably the most common to see and we will spot them grazing in herd on grass land.
  • Fallow deer is a magnificent deer slightly bigger than the roe deer but having white dots on the fur.
  • See eagle: Can be spotted sometime over the forest as the sea is never far.
  • Woodpecker. So much to say about them, I’ll let you discover.
  • Reindeer and wolverine: Those ones are very Nordic animals, they like cold, snow and high land for the wolverine. No chance to spot them.
  • There are many other animals to talk about like the crow, hare, tetra, ant nest, grey owl, wild boar and many more that will be talk about during the safari.

After the tour, back to hotel. Free and overnight. Lunch & Dinner on guest own account.

Day 6
Stockholm - Home

Breakfast at hotel.  Check out.

Transfer to  Stockholm airport, board the flight return to your home town.
