Kemi is an important deep-water harbour and heavy-industry town. It's home to two of Finland’s blockbuster winter attractions – a snow castle and an ice-breaker cruise. It is located very near the city of Tornio and the Swedish border.
Rovaniemi is an urban city surrounded by arctic nature. In Rovaniemi you can visit Santa Claus and cross the Arctic Circle every day of the year!

Morning pick up at hotel. Join a tour visit to Ulla’s and Paula’s Husky Farm just outside of the town. These people are real wilderness survivors. Ask whatever you want to know about the life in the wilderness. See almost 80 huskies and follow their daily life at the farm. Two hours husky safari in the snowy wilderness changing the drivers sometimes.
Lunch during the trip. Afterward. Return to hotel enjoy the Sauna and dinner in the hotel.
Note: Northern Lights evening trip to the hills outside of the city. This is the best chance to see Auroras in Kemi.
Then back to hotel and overnight in hotel.

Morning pick up at hotel, join the tour to visit Arctic Circle and Reindeer Farm.
During this day we drive directly towards north following old roads on the river banks of river Kemijoki, the biggest river in Finland. At the Arctic Circle after crossing it, we will get certificates of crossing as a memory. We'll meet Santa Claus himself and may buy a picture or a video with Santa. The Santa’s village is also the best place to buy souvenirs and handicrafts. Send your cards in Santa’s Post Office. Lunch in one of the restaurants is included. Meet reindeers and have a little sleigh ride. Meet traditionally dressed Lapps and take pictures with them. After this memorable day we drive back to hotel.

Pick up at hotel. This day participate to the one and only ice breaker day cruise in the world. 4 hours at the frozen sea. See the biggest ice field in Europe. With great luck you might get to see wild seals at the sea, too. Visit captain’s cabin and engine room guided, swim in the frozen sea wearing special floating suites (not for children under 12). This is the mother of adventures you’ll remember in a lifetime. Lunch on board.
After the cruise trip, back to hotel.

Today, drive to reach Katkavaara Fell, which is the most beautiful fell landscape in the area just next to Pisavaara Strict Nature Reservation. All day snowmobile safari in the snowy wilderness forests, on fells and swamps. Good chances to see wild animals and birds and their footprints. Light lunch during the day. With some luck you will meet a pack of wild reindeers and take memorable pictures with reindeers.
Then drive to check in the hotel in Ronvaniemi.

Stay the night in your hand made snow igloo and follow the Northern Lights!
The traditional igloos in Lapland are built of snow.
First you collect a good pile of soft snow. Then you shovel to make a nice snow igloo. The thickness of the walls should be about 30-40 cm.
You can also make windows and door even beds.
Great fun which unable to experience in your home town.
Once the igloo is ready it is usable right away and you can enjoy a peaceful night in the middle of snowy Lapland. After you have built your own igloo you can relax and enjoy the traditional Finnish sauna. And after the sauna it is time to for enjoying dinner and taste some local dishes.
After the dinner join the group for spotting Northern Lights on the local mountain. If we are lucky we can witness this arctic phenomenon. Anyway it is a nice tour as you also experience some northern shamanism.
After the tour you may stay the night in the igloo you made. There is also a warm room in reserve, just in case you needed. Free and overnight.

Morning pick up at hotel and transfer to the Ranua Zoo wjhich is approximately one-hour south of Rovaniemi by car. Upon arrival, you will take a stroll through the zoo, where you can see the interesting animals and birds that live at the "top of the world!". You will be able to dine in at the cozy restaurant or by open fire, visit all kinds of souvenir shops including the Fazer chocolate shop and the wine shop, where they sell unique wines made from wild berries found locally, such as cloudberries, lingonberries and bilberries.
The Ranua Wildlife Park, established 1983, specializes in arctic and northern animal species. The spacious animal fencings are located in the midst of northern conifer forests, the natural habitat of most of the animals. You can see the only polar bears living in Finland, as well as 50 other arctic and northern animal species, in all and all 200 individuals, at the Ranua Wildlife Park. The animals live in spacious fencings in the midst of northern wide forests, in their as authentic natural environment as possible.
Later afternoon transfer to Rovaniemi Airport to board the flight to Helsinki and connect with your flight back home.
