Day 1
Budapest, Hungary - Arrival

Upon arrival at Budapest Airport, meet representative and transfer to have a 3-hour walking tour in Budapest.

Visit to Danube, Buda Castle, Matthias Church, Famous Hungarians Presidential Palace, Panoramic View of the City, Chain Bridge, Fisherman’s Bastion, Royal Palace, St. Stephen’s Basilica.

After sightseeing, transfer to check in at hotel.

Free and Overnight. Lunch and dinner on guest own account. 

Day 2
Budapest

Breakfast at hotel. We start the tour from your hotel to show you the main sights on both parts of the river in Budapest. Walk around the Castle District, enjoy the view from the Citadel, drive along the Andrássy Avenue until Heroes’ Square, passing by many of the sights of the city.

On the Buda side we stop in the Castle District and during a short walk we show you the main attractions of the area. We walk to the Matthias Church and to the Fisherman’s Bastion. We will show you the Gellért Hill (Citadel) providing the most spectacular view of Budapest. On the Pest side you can see the Parliament, the St. Stephens Basilica and many other sights. On the way to the Heroes’ Square you can see the Adrássy Avenue with the Opera House, the House of Terror and many luxury shops. After that will drive to the City Park. Will  pass by the Vajdahunyad Castle, and the Budapest Zoo and the Once Upon a Time Park.

Extend your tour to enjoy a Hot Spring bath in The Széchenyi Thermal Bath, it is one of the largest spa complexes in Europe. It opens until 22:00 daily.

After sightseeing, back to hotel. Free and overnight at hotel. Lunch & Dinner on guest own account.

 

Day 3
Budapest - Danube Bend

Breakfast at hotel. Prepare to explore the Danube Bend. Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre: the three most beautiful cities in the Danube Bend. First visit to Esztergom, it  used to be the capital of Hungary and is still the center of the Catholic Church. The top of the hill, Visegrad, offers a great view to the Danube Valley.

Then visit to Visegrád, it was always in the center of attention during history due to its favourable amenities and essential strategical role. The earliest traces of a human presence lead us to the New Stone Age, and from the Bronze Age the town and its surroundings have been populated continuously. During the historical times Celtics, Germans, Romans, Avars and Hungarians were populating the Danube Bend area. Most of visitors are paying a visit to the Citadel, the Royal Palace and the Solomon Tower, and last visit to Szentendre which is a small baroque city built on medieval ruins, located at the gate of the Danube Bend. There are many facilities, including souvenir shops and restaurants, catering to these visitors.

Day 4
Budapest – Lake Balaton

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to visit the largest freshwater lake of Central Europe, Lake Balaton.

First stop is Balatonfüred which is a lovely small town on the north shore of Lake Balaton. Take a short city sightseeing with a nostalgia train. Before a one-hour cruise on the Lake Balaton, you will have time to walk along the picturesque promenade and have something to eat. (lunch is not included)

Next, drive to Tihany Peninsula, which has been declared one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. This area is rich in special natural and architectural values. Here you can enjoy the unique view of Balaton (photo stop). Then you will have the opportunity to visit the Abbey of Tihany, founded in 1055 by the Hungarian King, András.

After sightseeing, back to Budapest. Free and overnight.

Day 5
Budapest – Holloko

Breakfast at hotel. Drive for about 1.5 hours to visit Hollókő, the only village in Hungary on the list of the UNESCO World Heritage.

In this village you can explore traditional houses and museums (Village Museum, Doll Museum, Post Oce Museum, Weaving House). In the heart of the village there is a wooden tower, and a catholic church, which is the emblem of the village. At the guest houses in the village you can get a taste of the authentic Palóc-lifestyle. The castle was built in the 13th century.

Visit to Village Museum, The House Of The Countryside and the Castle Museum.

After sightseeing, back to hotel. Free and overnight

Day 6
Budapest return to home town

Breakfast at hotel. Morning free to stroll around the city. Check out by noon.

Pick up at hotel lobby and transfer to board the flight return to your hometown.
